The Baumholder (FS 8611) group is planning a tour back to Germany from August 29 thru September 7, 2007.  Time is short and space is limited.  Contact Carl Beduhn at cfwb@cox.net if you are interested in joining this trip.

Vegas in November:  Your Editor did an address search on our e-mail data base and came up with 48 names of individuals living on the West Coast or adjacent states.  A specific e-mail relating to a Vegas reunion in November 2007 was sent to them and we got the following responses:  7 expressed interest, 4 not interested or conflicting dates and 2 maybe’s.  No response from the rest of the group.  With the Atkinson’s a yes and the Thadeus’ as possible, it seems that there is enough interest to pursue the issue.

Many of the people on our basic e-mail list did not submit a snail-mail address so if you live on the West Coast or adjacent states, did not receive the Vegas specific e-mail, and are interested in a Vegas reunion in November 2007, let me know and I will add you to the list.

If we go this route we will probably piggy-back on Chris Homier’s Herzo-West reunion.  We covered this in the last newsletter (posted on our web site and dated June 1st) so refer to that article if you are interested.  As it stands right now we want to retain the Alpiners West identity and will have to work out details with Chris.

Rather than waste a lot of space in future e-newsletters, Vegas in November information will only be sent to those that have expressed an interest in attending.

Pictures, pictures, pictures.  Boy have we got reunion pictures.  They are now posted on our web site at http://www.asa-alpiners.com. Our thanks to Bill MacDonald (Scheyern 48-52/53-55) and to Joe and Millie Strock (Scheyern/Bad Aibling/Nottau 54-56) for their efforts.  Bill’s photos include the names of the individuals in the pictures so have a ball seeing what your old buddies look like now.  Joe’s pictures are in a slide show format.  Individual pictures in either set can be enlarged by clicking on the photo itself.  Depending on your Internet service, it might take a while for the pictures to download – but the wait is worth it.
