West Coast Alpiners Mini-reunion??  Enough interest has been shown to at least take the next step.  Duane Vincent (Bad Aibling 62-64) has suggested Vancouver WASHINGTON (not British Columbia) for consideration.  There is a great German restaurant there, called Gustav's, with a new hotel within walking distance of the restaurant.  Brook Anderson (Bad Aibling 60-62) has suggested the Palm Springs, CA area for May.  Would like to hear from those of you, who responded to the initial idea, about what you think of these locations - you too Wayne.  If the response is positive enough we'll take the next step of sending letters to those West Coast Alpiners not on the e-mail list.  Let's hear it guys.

A few new guys have sent us in their e-mail addresses so thought it might be of interest to the group just who the new guys are:  Joe C. Morrison (Scheyern 49-52), Jim Handley (Bad Aibling 63-65), Edward W. Clary (Herzo 68-69), Carl Zelich (Bad Aibling 60-62), Richard S. Schmeck (Frankfurt 58-60). Clifford (Bill) W. Yost (Herzo 62-64), Clyde Pidgeon (Herzo 64-68) and Larry Goodman (Herzo detached to Berlin 56-59)

TAPS

Douglas Niemier (Giessen 53-54) passed away on December 18, 2005, as reported by his wife Janet.  Janet noted that it was Douglas' wish to be "sent off" with a bagpiper, which she did at his memorial service.  Douglas' ashes will be interred at Arlington.

LOST CONTACTS

Our last E-newsletter for supporting member Nolan P. LeCompte, Jr., Houma, LA was returned.  His e-mail was noted as "over quota" so we hope Nolan was not a victim of the recent hurricanes.  If you have contact with Nolan, please let him know that he is no longer on the e-mail list.  Thanks for your help and cooperation.
